Jessica Coulter

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today's spotlight is on a woman with a passion for music, AND for helping animals, Jessica Coulter! 🖤

My name is Jessica Coulter and I front the rock/metal band Dematus where I play guitar, scream, and sing. I also own a business named Rootfull Love where I sell my own greeting cards which a dollar from each card goes back to help animals. So far I have donated 200 dollars towards different animal shelters which makes me super happy. My business was created to help people become more aware of their intuitive abilities and uplift people for their unique self.

I enjoy skateboarding and riding my motorcycle all over, I recently just did a motorcycle ride in freezing temperatures from Pennsylvania to Missouri. The dumbest thing I did but felt like I accomplished something huge because I wanted to quit so many times but I pushed through past my mind telling me to stop. You realize how strong you are in trying moments.

I have 2 dogs, one potbelly pig, eleven chickens, 2 roosters and my garden is pretty huge. I love growing things. Secretly I would love to be a farmer. I have a bunch of things coming in the future that I can’t wait to tell people about so stay posted on www.dematus.com!

Erica Lynn

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today's spotlight is on a woman who is the embodiment of supporting bada$$ women (while being the baddest of the bad), Erica Lynn! 🖤

Heya! My name’s Erica Lynn of Storms Within and I am a singer/songwriter, bassist and co-owner/ co-founder of the production company, Eerie Siren Productions.

I have been involved with music since I was child.  Singing classically in vocal ensembles and performing all over the tri-state area.  I started playing in bands in 2007 taking a role as a bassist in a few before being asked to front Storms Within in 2014.  We started off slow in Erie, PA with shows in the area every now and then.  We have been through various band member changes and finally solidified a line up in June of 2022.  We hit the studio in March of 2022 and started recording all of our previously written music we felt was studio and album worthy.  I sought out a recording studio, Monochrome Studios, and we started to push forward in ‘post-covid’ age.  Storms Within’s debut album ‘Minds of the Wicked’ dropped January of 2023.

During that same time period, I started contacting bands, venues and networking to try and get some shows after the shut down.  One by one, I started making contacts and before I knew it my co-owner/co-founder Tom Wurst and I had scheduled over twenty shows for the 2023 year.  It was in the midst of all of the networking we spoke about giving a name to what we had been doing for almost ten years, Eerie Siren Productions.  Putting a name to what we had been doing was liberating.  Our goal? Supporting, promoting and working with the local music scenes in and around the Erie, Pennsylvania Area.  I have made contacts all over Ohio. Huge shout out to the Cleveland, Akron area.  As well as, contacts all over Western Pennsylvania.

For the last few months ESP has branched out and started scheduling shows minus Storms Within.  Which is a huge commitment for two members of a band that plays out regularly but it has been beyond worth every moment.  We are now working with bands from New York, New Jersey and most recently Massachusetts.

Our newest and most exciting endeavor? What better opportunity than Women’s History Month and this platform to announce this? Eerie Siren Productions will be putting together the ‘Female Fronted Feature Fest’. 18 female fronted bands, two stages, one venue with female vendors, sponsors and promoters.  I am so excited to get the ball rolling on this project off the ground.  We are finalizing the date currently, which should be in October of 2023!

Life outside music? I am a wife, mother of three kids and work full time.  I am heavily involved in their activities and make sure that they are always a priority before my musician/ promotion endeavors but thankfully my family is beyond supportive of what I am passionate about.  I’ll end this with I am beyond honored to be considered for ‘Women who Inspire us’ feature and will end this with my favorite quote, ‘Live for what you love and love what you live for.’ -Eerie Siren Erica <3

-Business owner, event promoter, metal-rock band, music scene supporter, singer/songwriter

Sinister Sister Goods; Devilishly Delightful

Sinister Sister Goods Review

Sinister Sister Goods: Handmade and So Good!!

Hello. My Name is Jana, and I’m addicted to soaps. Handmade soaps to be more accurate. I just love the scents, the colors, and the fact that they last so much longer than the soft bar soaps helps ease my budget based mind. So, imagine my delight that one of our own models makes soap! Of course I had to try it.

Soap is a need, but handmade soaps make it feel like a luxury. Some of them out there are hit or miss, but I’m on my sixth soap bar from Sinister Sister Goods and I’m in love! Great suds, these don’t get mushy in the shower, and the scents are amazing. These bath products make me feel like I’m treating myself whether I’m taking a quick shower or a long bath.

Let’s face it, life is busy, and dirty, so getting a minute of feeling like you’re doing self care while just keeping clean is a huge bonus!!! Plus, I get to choose a scent for my mood, lol. (Currently Lemon Meringue)

Sinister Sister Goods isn’t just soap though. They have hand soaps, bath soaps, shower bombs, and even lotions. It’s a full line of products and all handmade! I tried out the Crème Brulee scented body butter, and… OMG. I’m sensitive to the weight of lotions on my skin, so for me this is more of a hand and foot cream as it is thick, but it’s luscious. One thing I noticed is that my normally thin and cracked looking nails were moisturized by this. I’ve only seen that happen with some specific top of the line creams.

For those of you in love with handmade soaps, this is a brand to try for sure. Those of you who still buy the bar soaps at grocery stores, why not try this out? Handmade soaps are longer lasting, individualized, and have less waste than the manufactured stuff! Added bonus? I recently found out these soaps were created to help the owner’s daughter deal with eczema when nothing else seemed to help. Her baby girl’s skin flourished from it, and I know my dry skin loves it!!

Check out the full line of products from Sinister Sister goods, and check out their socials for the next in their Spring scents!

Amanda Baker

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today's spotlight is on multi-talented powerhouse, Amanda Baker! 🖤

A transplant from Boston, MA, and now a die-hard supporter of the Pittsburgh community. It started in 2018 when I became a photographer for First Angel Media, and has since grown into a having a vast network of wonderfully talented individuals from various projects that I am proud to call my friends and colleagues. Although I’m not as involved photography wise in the music scene as I used to be, I’m still heavily involved in other ways, as a vocalist for the band Silence Follows and with pop ups at shows and festivals of all sizes with my bakery, Cupcake PGH

For the past year I have been focusing all of my efforts into the bakery baby. We specialize in allergen friendly custom cake and cupcake options, and partner with a variety of local businesses including Black Forge Coffee, Strange Roots Experimental Ales, Beers of the Burgh, and various non profits for events and pop ups. Trisha Hosac

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today our spotlight is on a woman who has truly taken the scene by storm, Trisha Hosac! 🖤

Trisha Hosac is a proud wife, aunt, dog mom, step mom, cat mom, and friend.

She is the creator of Spacebat Productions and 412nes. What is Spacebat Productions you ask? It’s a digital brand Trish made for herself to share her digital content such as videos and graphic design. 412nes is a ‘web’ show she created in 2015 about the Pittsburgh Music Scene. She’s been working on a 1 hour variety show called Spacebat Productions that airs on Pittsburgh’s new channel ‘Music from the 412’ that launched New Years Eve 2023.

Trish is a teaching artist at WQED Film Academy and a digital Producer on the WQED production team. She’s worked on their series ‘Sessions’ that features local musicians. Currently she’s working on an episode of WQED’s ‘Voices’ about Graffiti Writers in Pittsburgh.

One of her favorite things is to network and help to connect others; from introducing viewers to new artist/businesses, to introducing friends from her different friend circles to each other, helping to set up collaborations between businesses/brands, helping friends search and connect with jobs that may help them be happier in their career, and more.

“There is so much more that I could tell you about myself. Although, I think that this bio is already long enough. It’s silly because sometimes I think wow I’m boring and have nothing to say. Then I have to tell someone about myself or I’m writing something like a bio and I can’t seem to make it short. There are just so many details to add because one of my qualities is I don’t like to leave anyone out. Everything in my life is about the other people/pets in it and I wouldn’t have it any other way…… See here I am again making things longer than I need to.” – Trish👽🦇🎬

You can find out more about Trish and her projects at SpacebatProductions.com or 412nes.com (they both goto the same website one is just easier to type in then the other)!

Natasha Michelle

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today our spotlight is on a multi-talented badass, Natasha Michelle! 🖤

Hi, my name is Natasha and I own & operate Lil Shop of Lilith which is a metaphysical and occult shop in Butler, PA that also offers intuitive energy healing, certified life coaching / Spiritual Counseling and tarot readings!

I am extremely passionate about working with people to take back, restore, find and their personal power, which is why you will so often see #ownyourpower associated with the shop. It was a true calling for me be able to offer a different type of mental health support for our community, but I also work with clients virtually, even overseas. Some of my clients use the services as a mentorship opportunity. I have been a practicing witch for about two decades and take my practice very seriously. LSOL has been able to offer many events, rituals, classes, and this year a new series of monthly Lecturers that has been very popular.

Outside of the shop my own practice is heavily focused on Hekatean Sorcery and Goetic ritual. I am the Priestess for the Coterie of Samil Arcane Occult Order and my personal studies and interests lie in sex magick and necromancy. The doors to the physical shop opened Dec 2021, but I launched in April of 2020. Since the doors opened, I’ve been able to watch a beautiful community of people come together. I love knowing that people look forward to coming together there and the support I have been met with still blows my mind. I’m 36 and live in Butler with my husband and our almost 16-year-old.

Aside from the shop, I run Creative Direction for Celestial Oddities Radio, a collective of podcasts on the occult, esoteric and paranormal. I’ve also been singing in local bands since my early 20s. My current band Animus is what people have started coining #witchmetal after some recent shows, which I still find funny – but it’s catchy so I’ll take it. Animus formed right at the end of 2019 and I love writing, singing and performing with these guys. There’s no pressure, we just go out to have a good time. Music gives me a place of expression outside of the role of wife, mother and now local witch.

I am honored to be suggested for Women Who Inspire Us Wednesday. If I looked back even 5 years, I couldn’t see myself where I am today, and as the woman I have become. I don’t recognize who I was a year ago, let ago five. This year was the 18th anniversary from a car accident that very nearly took my life (I’m an adult, again! Haha) – I spent 2 weeks in a coma and months in recovery with a shattered spine, broken neck and TBI. I shouldn’t be here. The last 18 years were a gift, one I fought for – with some help. Life is too short to be anything less than authentic, which can feel hard in our society. My final parting words would be who inspires you? How do you get there? And how do you already inspire yourself – because you should. I am by no means a feminist – but as a woman in a patriarchal society, we fall into lines that I believe we shouldn’t feel we have to walk. We are taught to fall into these lines and if we step out, we will be shunned. Let me tell you — step out of line. Be brave. Somewhere you have the strength to do it yourself, but I promise you if you turn the light on and start to flow – the right people will start appearing, and the ones who would dare to dim you are not the ones that will help you rise. Xo, Tash

Jessica DiBattista

F#@K CRUSHES - Get ready for Women who inspire us Wednesday 🌟

Today our spotlight is on an artist in every sense of the word, Jessica DiBattista! 🖤

Jessica DiBattista is the founder & creator of the alternatively elegant jewelry company, Ritual Chains. The name is derived from a term in micro sociology referencing the small yet specific rituals we engage in daily to form and maintain relationships. An example would be to compliment a piece of clothing or jewelry, ask a question, or otherwise engage another person by relating to something personal about them.

Founded in the spring of 2022 under the light of a magical flower blood moon, Ritual Chains aims to compliment as well as captivate. Chains are loaded with symbolism and add a hint of timeless beauty to any ensemble. Much like the wearer, pieces are designed to stand alone or build in interest and complexity by adding layers for a more dramatic effect depending on your mood. No two pieces are identical as they are each handmade by Jessica alone. Looking forward, she hopes to incorporate chain mail and other unique elements into her designs. Currently, all chain used is made of craft grade nickel free aluminum alloy.

Whenever Jessica is not making Jewelry, she splits her time between working professionally as a tattoo artist at Black Cat Tattoo, playing bass guitar for God Hates Unicorns, and chasing her twin toddlers.
